October 2015 – Oliver’s Hill

6 paddlers –  Carol, Penny, Carmel, Lyn, Marie and Stephen took to the water off Oliver’s Hill. The day was cloudy but warm with little or no wind hence the sea was calm. Neil and Tony watched the paddlers disappear past Davey’s Bay.  We were surprise to see Marie returning after about 25 minutes. Marie explained she was a little concerned about the threatening clouds and the swell created by some Jet Skiers.  Neil decided on a swim and Tony took to the water using Marie’s sit on. Next paddler back was Carmel who enjoyed the paddle closer to shore near Gull’s Way. In a little over an hour the remaining paddlers returned expressing their enjoyment of the conditions and interest of the shoreline past Davey’s Bay and Pelican’s Point. In no time all the craft were carried back from the shore and firmly secured on the trailer We then all headed off back to Seaford. Thanks to Neil for towing the trailer and thanks to all for helping lift the craft on and off the trailer.
